The Fox-Speakers of Destined Fate Chapter 7: Cerberus Renegade's malice-filled eyes were like red beacons in the growing darkness. The eyes of Renegade watched very movement around him; the rustle of a leaf, the ripples on the Blood Lake, the tiniest twitch of a squirrel's tail. Renegade could see the lovely white fae, Starcatcher, disappear over the rim of a hill with a snowshoe hare in her large jaws. Renegade quietly said to himself that Starcatcher, the only female in the pack, would be his mate soon enough. She was young like he was, powerful, cunning, and her sharp witty tongue tempt any brute to admire her lovely charm. The blue eyes would always be shimmering with an unknown intelligence as she was faced against a new enemy that she has never seen before, yet...she always acted and fought like she knew the attacker as if they were old friends. Renegade was brought out of his thoughts when he heard Starcatcher's success howl echoed across the water. Renegade pricked his ears and padded towards the direction of the hunt, leaving behind the only trace of himself the trembling, snow-covered bracken fronds. ///I'll finish this later. Not too bad, no comments really except you used Renegade's name a lot, I would suggest using he a couple of times instead. Otherwise pretty good. If you are looking toward publishing, I would suggest checking out 'Self Editing for Fiction Writers' it help you out  (Note - I don't agree with everything in Self Editing for Fiction Writers, there is some rather secular stuff brought up in the book.) Just out of curiosity, what's your novels word count? |

Uh...A novel word count? I'm sorry, but I haven't finished the book yet and haven't brought it to the publishers. Right now, I'm just working on the second-draft.

I just meant how many words you've written. If you are using a word processer such as Microsoft Word or Word Perfect, you should be able to find something like that in tools section.

Well, it doesn't really matter to me. But publishers will want to know, like some publishers won't except novels that go above a certain word count etc.

Lol, thats awesome. I try to writ a novel, like, I think I have the description and stuff down, but I can't seem to think of anything to fill up the pages inbetween the plot! Good work!

Yeah you can write about this site, just, if you use Mace, Spine, or Ace, please make sure you don't say you came up with them. Normally it wouldn't be a big deal, but I'm activialy persueing publishing for my novel which has Mace Spine and Ace in it. And of course Jack, Dr. Beckett and Wolverine are all copyrighted to their own individual creators lol

How far have you gotten it written? Can you post a little bit more? Its so good! I was writing a story about horses, and one about a dog and a wolf, I wwas about 1 to 2 chapters into each, then for somereason, my computer deleted everything on my account.  |

Drat that stinks, I'm very thankful that nothing like that has happened to me.
Fel, I have a tip for you, when you start editing/revising, read your writing out loud at least once. It will help you find awkward sentances. I didn't think it would help when I started, but often you can pick out the sentances that sound weird that you might not have picked up before. It might help.
