As you all might have guessed from the rules, I'm a Christian. This thread is just for Christians to talk and stuff. And if you aren't a Christian feel free to ask any questions about the Christian faith.
A little about my walk with the Lord: I've been a Christian since I was four, and God has just been awesome. He has touched me in so many ways its just amazing. My fav. verse is John 3:16 and my fav. book of the Bible would have to be Philippians.

Really? My favorite book in the Bible is Psalms, (wow...did I spell that wrong? It looks wrong to me...hm...) mainly because some of the verses are really funny. I don't really have a favorite verse, there are too many different ones I like...

Yeah Psalms is great, my church really loves the book of Psalms cause it says how we should really praise the Lord, so many people these days think that you have to be quiet in church and just sit still and not move. But it says so clearly in Psalms that God likes other things like shouting, and dancing, the book of Psalms is wonderful!
The reason why I like Philipians is because it just has so many good verses, you should really read it, it is just a couple chapters long and it is just awesome!

Yeah, when we have church at school nobody sings. Me and my friends do, and my boyfriend does, but not many people besides us do. Only 3-5 guys in the 8th grade sing, and that's about the only grade that does sing...the 6th and 7th graders need to start singing! *smacks them until they start singing*
Yeah, I'm planning to read the whole Bible...as soon as I get one...the one I had was for little kids and it was basically just the creation story and a few select things from the New Testament...and my brother stole it from me so...yeah. Lol.

Yeah you should get a one year plan, cause starting at Gensis doesn't work, trust me, you get to about Chronicals and then you burn out, you really need to use some sort of plan, that helps a lot.
My church has a worship band and then people sing with them of course. I sing along and stuff when I go down front and dance.

lol Yeah...my great aunt read the Bible...maybe I'll borrow hers...but she lives in Louisiana...so...I'd have to wait awhile to get it...(sorry, I'm just kind of typing what I'm thinking...in other words: thinking out loud, but it isn't technically 'out loud'...ok, I'm going to shut up now.)
Your church sounds really fun! Unfortunately I can't go to the high-school I want to go to next year, so I'll have to take C.C.D. because the high-school I'm going to is a public high school...*sigh* I'd rather go to high-school with my friends *grrrr! Why'd we have to move?!* Aaaanyway...what grade do you get Confirmed in? (I get Confirmed either Junior or Sophmore[sp?] year...)

Yeah, though you might want to look at different versions of the Bible, I mean KJV is okay, but I prefer NASB (New American Standered Bible) That is a really good version.
Well, I go to a Non-Denominational church, so I don't get confirmed. What goes on when you get Confirmed?

Yeah, we have NASB at our school I think...
You get a confirmation name (you pick a Saint, I believe) and...well, I'm not really sure...*is confused* um...good question! (It's kind of like confirming your babtism, I think...)

Um...I don't go to Sunday School but you just learn about God and Jesus and stuff like that...(If I remember correctly...I went when I was little...it's pretty much a religon class for younger kids who aren't in school yet [that's what it is at my church...all the little kids get to go and learn about Jesus while the adults go to communion...all the kids under 2nd grade go if they can/want to.)
Anything you want to add to that, Mace?

Well, Shard, in Sunday school at my church the kids four an under go down and take classes during the main service while the kids five through twelve go to sunday school during the morning and then go to the main service. Once you graduate, you then go to youth group and you go to the adult sunday school in the morning and of course to the main message. The little kids learn the baisics about the Bible and the main stories and stuff. As you get older and move through the 'grades' the lessons start getting more in depth. Baisically they teach everything from the Bible, so you learn a lot there. In the adult sunday school it is the same way, everything comes from the Bible. The youth group is baiscially like a Church service, we have praise and worship and then a lesson.
The Lord moved on Friday night during my youth group. People were getting free and radical in the Lord. I was crying and everything, I was on the floor and I was just worship Jesus, it was AWESOME!! Two people got saved, and then one of them even came over and prayed and had the Word of the Lord for me! Man, God is just so good!! Several of the young people were out in the Spirit, and one had a vision. We went out into the parking lot and were praying for the schools, the nation, everything!! It was just great!!! I was really touched, and on a side note, during the meeting I was praying for all of you, just thought I would let you know....
Today at Church, God really started to move again. The pastor was gone, but his son who is an assistant pastor was there and he began to pray for healing for people, a lot of people in fact. The presence of God was really there, it was awesome! And the cool thing is this is just the beginning!! I mean my church has been waiting for God to move and it really seems that a lot of it is going to happen this year!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!

Oh! Thank you! You guys are all in my prayers too...along with all the creatures and other things God created for us. We should write a prayer or something of that sort for the soldiers and innocent people in Iraq...they shouldn't have their lives put in danger. Nobody should...

Drat thanks for brining that up, I got to remember to pray for that I'm sure there are prayers for it. It is sad what is happening over there, but God has control over it, he is protecting many of the soliders. Several soliders come from our church and they have many stories about things that happened in the Middle East, you know that God was protecting them.
